BREAKING ALUM NEWS From CLASS OF '62 ! SECOND ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP AWARDED!
The second annual scholarship of $1,000 has been awarded to Samantha Meyer, 2010 graduate of GHHS

Above: Members of the Class of '62 present certificate of Second Annual Scholarship to Samantha at Saturday's "Our Gang" breakfast at Marshall's Restaurant in Grandview Heights. Some think that $1,000 doesn't help much, but her mother relays her parents thanks for the help, as sometimes that little help can make all the difference.
Samantha writes: My name is Samantha Meyer. I was class president for three years, and then senior year I became student council president. I was also a member of Spanish Club, Key Club, National Honors Society, French Club, and Poll Club. I was on the bowling team my sophomore and junior year. I enjoy doing volunteer work for my church like going to Lutheran Village once a month to help the patients get to chapel. Last summer, I attended the ELCA Lutheran Youth Convention in New Orleans. While we were there, we participated in outreach in the community along with 45,000 other people in attendance.
I will be attending The Ohio State University in the fall of 2010. I"m not sure what I want to major in yet, but I plan to explore my options in my classes. Thank you so much for this very generous scholarship. I am the oldest of four children in my family, and this will help us out a lot. I really appreciate it.
